Guy has been playing saxophone and clarinet, on and off, from his teenage years. In recent times he has played in the Caithness Symphony Orchestra and Thurso Big Band. He currently plays in the Derby Concert Band and also plays for local pantomimes and theatre productions.

Ian began learning saxophone whilst still at primary school. At first it was a casual hobby with his attention mostly focused on sport - particularly on football ! However, when it transpired that professional stardom was not to be, music began to play an ever increasing role in his life. After playing in school swing and jazz bands, Ian was recruited to the Henley Farrell Big Band with whom he still plays. During his years at university Ian studied Publishing with English, but he also began to learn to play flute and clarinet. After graduating, Ian undertook a PGCE in Primary Education and now works as a classroom teacher.
